Demand Planning
Demand planning helps you decide when and how much to reorder. Quark Commerce provides both calculated metrics and AI-powered suggestions.
Demand Dashboard
Navigate to Inventory → Demand Planning to see:
- Current stock levels per variant per warehouse
- Sales velocity — average daily/weekly sales
- Days of stock — how long current stock will last at current sales rate
- Reorder point — calculated threshold for when to reorder
- Suggested order quantity — based on lead time and safety stock
AI Replenishment Suggestions
If an AI provider is configured, the demand dashboard includes an AI Suggestions panel that provides intelligent replenishment recommendations:
- Analyzes sales trends, seasonality, and current stock
- Suggests which products to reorder and in what quantity
- Considers product
SeasonandReplenishUntildate fields - Can be used to quickly create a draft Purchase Order
Enabling AI Suggestions
- Configure an AI provider in Settings → AI Settings
- Navigate to Inventory → Demand Planning
- Click the AI Suggestions button for a specific store
Auto-Draft
Stores with Auto-Draft Enabled have a background service that automatically creates draft Purchase Orders when stock falls below reorder points. Review and approve these drafts in the Purchase Orders section.
Product Supply Chain Fields
These fields on the product edit form affect demand planning:

| Allow Overselling | Allow orders when stock = 0 |
| Season | Seasonal tag (e.g., "Spring/Summer 2026") |
| Replenish Until | Don't reorder after this date |
tip
Set ReplenishUntil for seasonal or limited-edition products to prevent unnecessary reorders after the selling season ends.
